Hi.

Welcome to That Mom Life. Because we've all been THAT mom. It comes with the territory.

9 Homeschool Families To Follow On Instagram

9 Homeschool Families To Follow On Instagram

Before we started our own homeschooling journey, I did a ton of research. I read books about homeschooling and blog posts about the different methodologies, typical days, how to schedule, and where I could find resources and community support.

I also spent a ridiculous amount of time scrolling through the #homeschool hashtag on Instagram. I loved seeing the day-to-day snippets of what homeschooling was like and I was able to find some really wonderful mamas to connect with as I began my own homeschooling story.

Today I wanted to share some of the inspirational people who I've learned from and enjoyed following over the last little while. Some are friends, some are new, and some I've only recently stumbled upon. I hope you find someone to connect with on this list!

Grab a tea, take a peek through each account, and take a moment for yourself, mama. You deserve it.

So many gorgeous snapshots. So many wonderful new families to meet, to learn from, and to enjoy. Also, if you're not already following me on Instagram, I'm @that.desiree.

I should mention that I know we often see images on Instagram that are a little beyond what typical life looks like. But, to be honest, now that I'm sharing my own experience, I'm starting to realize that what I was seeing each day as I scrolled through my feed was much closer to reality than I'd realized.

Now those moments are coming to life in my own home with our quiet mornings, the freedom to build our own rhythms, and the flexibility to choose the path that feels best for all of us each day.

Even this morning, while I was at an appointment, Rich and Gretchen wrote out poems and baked the most amazing bread.

Some days we do a lot of writing and reading at the dining room table and some days we walk in the woods.

Some days are busy and some are incredibly lazy. I'm understanding more and more that the dream I had as I followed so many inspiring homeschool moms on Instagram is not only POSSIBLE but it's freakin' HAPPENING in my own house.

Our new-to-us, not-yet-unpacked-or-organized, quirky, 1800s house.

And I love it. I really, really love it.

Thanks for reading, friends. I'm blogging daily in November as a personal goal. Subscribe to get new posts in your inbox. Peace.
